Journeys to Here & Now
Yogasala is conceived as a location-independent platform to travel and create spaces for Yoga On The Go! The idea of Yogasala was born when Hari got the opportunity to travel across India to lead corporate yoga classes in April 2016. Yogaśāla captures the essence and spirit of his passion for travel, yoga, adventure, and fun.
The idea of Yogaśāla is rooted in the firm belief that each individual is unique in their physical and mental composition. This means the yoga practice need to adapt to the unique needs and capabilities of an individual to enable them to awaken their true potential or to heal. This is unlike a run-of-the-mill Yoga Studio where a general yoga template is applied for the entire group.
Yogaśāla offers unique workshops that combine yoga with other disciplines and arts. Some such programs are:
- Rāga Yoga – Music & Yoga
- Buddha Bowl – Mindful Cooking & Healing Chants
- Minna Minni – Yoga Through Storytelling
- Drishyam – Exploring Self Through Photography.
- Kalā Yoga – Exploring Self Through Art
As part of the Yoga Trails initiative of Yogaśāla, numerous yoga retreats have been organised across India and abroad. Since the inception of the idea of Yogasala, Hari has organised / facilitated yoga retreats and workshops in the following places:
- Istanbul, Turkey
- Paro, Bhutan
- Goa, India
- Hyderabad, Telangana
- Bangalore, Karnataka
- Gulmarg, Kashmir
- Chirrapunji, Meghalaya
