What is Tarot?
Tarot is a divination system that uses a set of cards to gain insight and achieve greater control over issues involving relationships, opportunities, and life changes.
The Tarot deck is over 500 years old. With archetypal roots that go back almost 2000 years, Tarot has become a repository of ancient wisdom. Interestingly, our modern playing cards are a subset of the Tarot.
The history of Tarot symbolism is shrouded in mystery. Some of the Tarot symbols are thought to have originated in China, India or Egypt. Tarot cards date back to 15th century Spain, Italy and France.
In a traditional tarot reading session, the reader connects to the energy of the person seeking the guidance and intuitively interprets the cards that come up through a combination of different spreads.
Over the past many years, Hari has been experimenting with Angel Cards, Oracle Cards, and eventually Tarot Cards. He founded Tarot Dojo in 2016 to offer tarot readings to friends and strangers-to-be-turned-friends intuitive guidance. Since his tarot journey was developing in parallel to his practice as a yoga trainer and life coach, he discovered a unique blend of coaching of inner work and intuitive guidance in his tarot readings. Over time he realized that the way he practice tarot brings in something more than a mere guidance or prediction to the other.
Thus, the idea of Tarot Coaching evolved to allow the querent to go deeper into themselves using tarot as a mirror and at the same time going beyond the conventional boundaries of a tarot reading to include elements of life coaching. Tarot Coaching is different from life coaching in that it does not go as deep as a typical life coaching session, but goes beyond the depth of a normal tarot session to give a glimpse of deeper inner work.
